- A Bachelor’s degree

- 5 to 7 years of experience working in branch operations at a bank

- Sound understanding of Bank processes, forex, and KYC/AML Guidelines.
- Leadership and management skills to lead and monitor the branch team.
- Record-keeping, reconciliation, and audit: gathering of details.
- Ability to deal with risks and suspicious transactions.
- Outstanding customer service and problem resolution skills.
- Strong coordination abilities to collaborate with Head Office and other divisions.
- Confident in using banks and admin daily.

Responsibilities
- Support the Branch Manager in running the day-to-day work of the branch.
- Follow the rules. The bank has many rules about money, foreign exchange, and knowing its customers (this is called KYC/AML). This person must make sure everyone follows them.
- Watch over customer service. Money transactions for customers should be fast, correct, and meet the promised time limits.
- Oversee trade services, if the branch offers them, and make sure they follow HBL Careers policy.
- Report problems on time. If anything is to be reported to the regulators, it has to be done immediately.
- Look out for any unusual activity. This means watching out for money laundering or funding of illegal activities, and reviewing customer information regularly as per the policy of HBL Careers.
- Keep records straight. This includes matching up transactions between branches and checking that internal controls are working as per HBL Careers.
- Make sure daily work follows the rules so the branch does well in audits (checks done by the bank itself, outside auditors, and the State Bank of Pakistan).
- Ensure that critical items such as ATM cards, vault keys, safe keys, and server room keys are not misplaced.
- Address overall banking operations, including account openings, cash transactions, clearing, remittances, fixed deposits, and ATM operations as per the HBL Careers.
- Manage risk. The person makes sure the branch doesn’t take on risks it shouldn’t, especially around money laundering.
- Work with other departments and Head Office on things like operations, credit, trade finance, and technology.
- Start and close the banking day properly using the bank’s systems.
- Help move customers to digital channels (like online or mobile banking), so things run more efficiently.
- Help solve customer complaints and improve the customer experience.
- Support business growth. This includes helping bring in new deposits and encouraging customers to use more of the bank’s services.
- Be the main contact between the branch and everyone connected to it, to help the branch grow.
- Keep the branch looking good. This involves ensuring that it is clean, cozy, and customer-friendly as well as worker-friendly.
- Manage costs. They must keep spending under control while getting approval from the Branch Manager when needed.
- Lead the operations team. This includes setting goals for staff, reviewing their performance, and giving feedback.
- Bring in new technology and processes sent from Head Office to improve service.
- Take on other tasks as assigned by management at HBL Careers.
