Eligibility Criteria
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree (16 years) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Information Technology from an HEC-recognized institution.
- A Master’s in Information Security plus a relevant certification is a plus.
Required Experience
- At least 4 years in IT or Information Security, preferably in database security management or IT security operations.

Other Skills
- Good understanding of how Information Security works
- Strong communication and personal skills
- Teamwork skills and the capacity to deliver results under tight time constraints.

Responsibilities
- Using the bank’s database security policy and standards, in accordance with the SBP regulation as well as the bank security policy by NBP Jobs 2026 Online Apply.
- Overseeing access controls and permissions on databases, including the use of rule sets such as least privilege and RBA.
- Monitoring database logs and security events to identify and escalate any suspicious or unauthorized activity
- Frequent verification of database security.
- Collaborating with IT Infrastructure and DBA teams on the application of security patches, updates, and resolving any issues.
- Implementation: Applying measures like encryption, masking, tokenization, etc. To protect the data.
- Helping with investigations if there is a security incident, and collecting evidence while supporting the response process.
- Reviewing backup and disaster recovery plans for databases to keep information safe and available.
- Working with other teams to support the bank’s overall business continuity and disaster recovery plans by NBP Jobs 2026 Online Apply.
- Preparing reports on database security for senior management, including the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the bank’s risk and audit teams.
- Reviewing changes made to databases, such as new configurations or structure changes, to check their security impact by NBP Jobs 2026 Online Apply.
- Reviewing how production databases are restored into test or development systems, making sure sensitive data is protected during the process.
