Major Responsibilities
- Supervision/authentication of Foreign/Inland LCs, Amendments, LC messages, and amendment messages.
- Preparation of Reimbursement Authorities against LCs.
- Preparation of amendments to reimbursement authorities in case of decrease or increase in amount.
- Affixing Foreign Bills Stamps on LC Drafts drawn on Usance.
- Supervision/checking of lodgment, retirement, and overdues in the system and messages.
- Checking of Shipping Documents.
- Obtaining confirmation of LC advising from FI Department Karachi for each LC.
- Supervision of Shipping Guarantee and Import Contracts.
- Handling transactions in foreign currency accounts.
- Supervision/checking of monthly/fortnightly statements and time-to-time statements.
- Supervision/checking of lodgment and settlement of OFBC (Outward Foreign Bill for Collection).
- Supervision/checking of DD and PO issuance for payment against Inland LCs.
- Authentication of all transactions regarding Imports.
- Authorization of SWIFT Messages.
- Checking of SWIFT messages.
- Rectification of audit objections of the Imports Department.
- Ensuring good service to clients.
- Supervision/checking of Advance Payment in respect of Imports.
